FAQ
1. THERE’S NOTHING BEHIND MY CAR! WHY IS MY SENSOR ALERTING ME?
Your sensor could be giving you a false reading because of a protruding object on your car such as a hitch, bumper, or step.
Two solutions to fix this problem:
1. Turn your sensor upside down and select ‘Invert Sensor’ on the app. Test for accurate readings.
2. Use the provided Allen key to readjust your sensor upwards while the app is running. Fasten the sensor into the appropriate position when the app provides accurate readings.
Note: Do not stand in front of the sensor when testing for readings.
2. WHY ISN’T THE APP CONNECTING TO MY PHONE?
If the issue is with your TAP button or the license plate sensor, first follow instructions included in your FenSens package. If unsuccessful, try one of these troubleshooting tips:
1. Reboot the app and your phone
2. Reboot the device
3. Your Bluetooth signal may be weak. Try moving your phone closer to the device.
If these solutions don’t work, you may have a faulty antenna. But don’t worry, you are covered by the hardware warranty.
3. WHY IS THE APP ASKING FOR A ‘SHARE CODE’?
Share this code with other people signing up and connecting to your device.
How to find your share code:
Settings > Manage Devices > FenSens > Click On The Device.
4. HOW LONG WILL MY FENSENS BATTERY LAST?
FenSens requires AA batteries. These will last approximately 5 months.
5. I’VE INSTALLED MY FENSENS. NOW WHAT?
Use the QuickLaunch™ button to instantly send push notifications to open the app.
6. IS FENSENS COMPATIBLE WITH ALL VEHICLES?
FenSens is compatible with all vehicles under 30ft in length. If your car has a license plate higher than 4ft, you may want to test the sensor before fastening it onto your license plate.
7. HOW DO I PAIR MORE THAN ONE DEVICE TO MY FENSENS?
On your device, go to your settings menu, click on ‘Manage Devices’, click on the device, add share code to send to other devices. If adding other devices, input share code at login.
